Mindfulness Meditation Training Courses

Mindfulness Meditation is all about being ‘in the present moment’ and becoming more aware of our thoughts, feelings and sensations. It allows us to experience these thoughts and sensations without reacting to them in an instinctive and habitual way. This method trains the mind to respond to situations and problems differently.

We offer introductory sessions and workshops for both individuals and small groups, Mindfulness in the Workplace and 8-session MBSR (Mindfulness Based-Stress Reduction) courses.

Introduction Sessions

Various introduction sessions are being rolled out across Gloucestershire and often with the added value of experiencing the wonderful Tibetan Singing Bowls and Gong Bath provided by Kuma San.  These are informal, welcoming events to give prospective students  and general public an insight to Mindfulness, the Art of Less Stress and MBSR or MBCT for Life. The cost for these 2hour events 

£15.00 per person

Learning the Art of Less Stress

This is a regular event to experience the remarkable sounds, courtesy of Kuma San, with opening and closing Meditation with Lynsey.

Following this, there will be the opportunity to sign up to 8 weekly classes exploring how to bring Mindfulness and gentle Meditation into your life.

Introduction to Mindfulness

This is a two and a half hour session of introduction to the type of meditation we teach in the 8-session mindfulness-based stress reduction course, otherwise known as MBSR.

8 week MBSR course

Mindfulness Practice Session

This is a certified eight week MBSR course. The training gives the opportunity to notice the way we can anchor into the breath and involves Breathing Practice, Sitting Practice, a short Body Scan and gentle Mindful Movement. We will also be teaching you about the origin of Mindfulness-based Health Interventions and the background of Mindfulness.

Cost includes comprehensive handbook, meditation recordings that specifically accompany the course and training support (the certificate requires all 8 sessions to be completed) Booking and pre consultation required please contact Lynsey for further details as places are limited to 10

The MBSR is considered the Foundation Course for the Teacher Training Pathway for those wanting to enter into private practice and as a pre-requisite for school teachers wanting to train in the “.b”  Mindfulness in Schools programme.

For those that have graduated from the 8 week course and are already using mindfulness in their daily lives. This is a wonderful opportunity to keep in touch with fellow students and enjoy growing new connections.

This is a donation session where participants give a donation at the end of the session.
